[Revised May09]
Every item in RxOne has a 'stock card', whether dispensary or OTC. In addition, drugs that can be dispensed have a 'Drug card' to record extra details. Usage figures cover the whole system, whether dispensed or sold OTC.
To access Stock/drug cards.
For convenience there are many points of entry to this function. The most commonly used ones are;
- From the Main Dispensary Screen, 'Stock Cards'. Or,
- From most points in RxOne, Window then 'Stock Cards'. Or,
- From RxOne Start Menu' 'Stock Cards'
This will ask the name of the item. Items can be looked up under name or number.
If an item is normally dispensed, in addition to the 'Stock information' it will have 'Drug information', to see this select Drug information from within the stock card, and Stock information to switch back. Items that are not normally dispensed have only a stock card, no drug card.
Moving between stock cards
Once finished working on a stock card, select;
- 'Search' to search for another card.
- 'Exit' to Exit the cards section altogether.
- 'Page Up' to move to the next stock card in sequence.
-'Page Down' to move to the card before in sequence.
Figures on cards.
Most information is self explanatory. For detailed information click on Stock card detail (left) for the left column, Stock card detail (options) for the tick boxes and ordering choices, Stock card detail (right) for the lower right hand side, and Drug card.
Copying a stock card
When creating many similar cards, it can save time to create one and copy it, creating a duplicate stock item which can then be modified for the next item. To do this 'File' then 'Copy', or <ctrl> + <c> directly.
The item will appear with "(copy)" after its name.
To change a 'Stockcard' into a 'Drugcard'
Go to Edit at the top of the screen and click on "Create Drug Card for this stock item".
Note - You can add a reminder message (pop up message to a stock card, e.g. add a reminder on Section 29 drugs)
Go to the Drug Information tab and add a ‘User Dispensing Message’.
Delete stock card
Click on 'delete stock card' for instructions.
Specials pricing on stock cards
If an item is on special, the special retail price is also shown on the stock card.
(Internet shop information system)
The intention of this system is to allow RxOne to talk to your internet website so you only have to maintain one set of stockcards.
The procedure is as follows:
Using Supplier Update, update your stockcards with the latest prices
In stockcards add any extra information you might require
Short Description - This is a expanded version of the tradename
Description -This is a free hand field where you can put any product information
Dimensions - This is used if you sell overseas and require dimensions to calculate shipping costs
Images - Any pictures of the product; the first picture is the primary picture used on the website
When the stockcards are updated go to Tools, Send information to website (currently hidden)
The information is bundled up with your images and sent to your website
There your provider if the website imports this information into your Internet Shop.
Any site looking at implementing this should get their internet shop provider to contact HealthSoft to discuss integration.
There is also a feature to download from the shop, details of any sales and import them directly into the RxOne System so in RxOne reports you will see both your physical shop sales and your internet shop sales and SOH is maintained.
