While dispensing RxOne will price scripts according to the markups, dispensing fees and rules specified by the user on the major options screens.
To over-ride individual prices;
OTC price etc. Choose from the price options pre-calculated on the 'pricing' panel. When appropriate (such as OTC or 'Private' ) the system will suppress the PBS claim.
A Private Script Over-ride price can be set on the Drug Information tab of the stockcard. Double-click on the indication and enter a percentage or $ value in the Private Price Override field. This displays on the Price Tab in Dispense.
How to turn a PBS Rx into a Private Rx
Use Private Indication
Firstly set up the ‘Private Price Override’ for the stockcard by clicking on Stockcard/Drug card > search for the drug > Click on 'Drug info' page> Double click into Private Indication > Set the Private Price Override. Click on '?' icon for further explanation.
A ‘Private Price Override’ can also be setup from the Script screen while dispensing. Changes on Private Script Override on the Script screen will write back to the stockcard.
Use General Indication.
Set up the Private Price Override for the general indication (from Stockcard or from Script screen) just as you would for a private Rx.
Choose ‘General’ indication when dispensing then use Ctrl+P to turn PBS into Private Script before finishing the script.
Changing the ‘Rx Category’ on the Script screen to ‘F’ (Private) will also default the price to the Private Price Override set up under the General Indication.
(You can setup a dispensing message to remind staff to use Ctrl+P to turn PBS script into Private Script).
