Foil, Difficult Situations

[Revised Dec 07]

Multiple types of script. It is possible to ‘copy’ scripts, ‘repeat’ scripts, have ‘new’ scripts and have 'additional medication' all on the same foil. This is accomplished by:

1. Copy any scripts already in 'RxOne' (see copying a foil from last month as a new script)

2. Repeat any scripts already in 'RxOne' (see copying a foil from last month as a repeat)

3. Enter any new scripts (see entering foil scripts)

4. Bring up the patient and select all the scripts you have just copied, repeated or entered and any additional medication.

5. Press 'Print Duplicate'

6. Select which ever requirements you wish to print at this time.

Number of items on a foil.

In order to keep the print to a readable size, there is a limit of seven items in any one foil. If a script is for more than seven items, do two foils, eg, for nine items do a foil of four items and one of five.

By reducing the font size it is possible to fit more items, but legibility is affected.
