[Revised Mar 02]
If the drug name is missing when a repeat is looked up, it is likely that someone has looked up its drug card, and when the drug name was highlighted accidentally erased it by pressing the space bar, and then 'Accepted' the changes when exiting.
To restore the drug name on all affected scripts
1. Pull up for edit an affected script, which will display sigs etc and be otherwise normal, but with no drug name.
2. Change to Generic name, and observe what drug it is.
3. Look up the drug card by generic name and re-enter the trade name on the blank line. This will restore the name on all affected scripts.
Future
1. The program will be changed to default to the SoH line, which will prevent this particular problem. However, a user blanking the first default line will then blank out the SoH, still not desirable.
2. Tell all staff that blanking a line is not a good idea, and suggest that they do not 'accept changes' on exiting a drug card unless they have made intentional changes.
Note
If the drug really is missing, rather than having just had one of its names blanked out, see 'Missed monthly updates'
