Windows, 'Safe mode' startup

[Revised Oct 04].

If Windows detects a problem on startup, it will start in 'safe mode' with various messages to this effect.

This can be due to a transient problem on startup so let it finish starting then shut down, turn off everything on all units, leave for 10 seconds to run down and restart.

The RxOne software cannot run correctly in 'safe mode' since that mode will often disable printers or some other essential piece of equipment.

If 'safe mode' recurs

If a restart doesn't help, or if the 'safe mode' happens frequently, either there is some kind of power supply or environmental problem (link below) or some piece of hardware has an intermittent fault. Investigate this if it recurs.
