[Revised March 02]
'RxOne' has the ability to withdraw a claim for an item already made by means of a negative entry.
At time of writing, it is not known if the 'Medicare Australia' has the mechanisms to support this function.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To withdraw an item already claimed.
Edit the script and tick the 'Credit script in next claim' box. This can be done at any time, and will result in the pricing office subtracting the amount already paid on that item. The item can later be claimed again.
To withdraw and reclaim
E.g. a script for 20 was dispensed, with 10 owing. The 20 were collected at the time, the 10 owing dispensed and so the whole 30 claimed, but the 10 'owings' never collected. To retrospectively reduce the already claimed 30 to 20;
Edit the script to change the quantity to 20, then resubmit the item. This automatically withdraws (has a negative payment) the previous claim for 30 and claims for 20.
Item not yet claimed
If the item has not already been claimed, just edit the quantity to 20 and that is what will be claimed... does not matter that the original dispensing was for 30.
