Report, Short Script Statistics

[Revised Dec  15]

There are two reports that show Drug Costs, Statistics, and Analysis from various viewpoints.

- Report, Script Statistics (short)

- Report, Script Statistics (Detailed)

See the links below for these related topics. it is worthwhile to look at both to see which provides the view that suits your needs best.

This 'Script Stats (short)', provides an abbreviated set of stats. for costs and analysis of the days work.

To report

For convenience, this can be reached from several places in the program;

- From the Dispensing module, go to Report (top left hand of screen), then General Dispensary Reports, then Statistics report.

-- Or from the RxOne Start Menu, Reports, Statistics Report, Pharmacy Statistics Report

Follow the choices on screen, pressing Next to move to the next choice and Finish when finished selecting.

Interpretation notes

- Govt contribution = expected 'HealthPAC' payment incl GST (i.e. The Subsidy price minus patient contribution of either $3, $15, or $2)

- Patient contribution = Prescription charge of either $3, $15, or $2 (incl. GST) and excludes the premium.

- Premiums = The Premium AND also additional fees such as after hours fee, foil fees.

- Cost = Actual ingredient Cost to Pharmacy before GST i.e. List Cost.

- The Govt general subsidy will be shown on the report for all scripts, unless the other custom price options such as Govt- hosp have been selected at the stage of dispensing. These figures will show the expected 'HealthPAC' payment/subsidy and are dependent on the markup and PSF inputted in the respective options in the Price Option. (i.e. for Govt-general, it uses the claimable SS markups and PSF, the Govt-hospital, uses the hospital markup and PSF, Mixture uses the mixture option).

- Throughout RxOne;

- all cost prices are cost excluding GST/VAT etc.

- all retail prices include GST/VAT

- all profits take GST/VAT into account, but do not include it.

E.g., supposing cost was 1.00, markup was 50% = 1.50 and GST/VAT was 10% so the retail = 1.65. The cost will be reported as 1.00, the gross profit reported as 0.50 and 50%, and the retail reported as 1.65

Report by Date Dispensed

To see the Statistics Report by dispensed date, leave as the default of ‘Date Dispensed’.

Report by Claim Periods

To see the Statistics Report based on the Claim periods, select ‘Date Claimed’ and select claim period date range. This will show the estimated government contribution according to the scripts claimed in the period selected. (i.e. will include resubmitted scripts).

Show/Add MOH Service Fee Payments

To record the Service Fee Payments (SFPs) paid outside of the claim (e.g. Case Mix Fees, LTC Monthly Service Fees, Transition Payments and Others), select ‘Show/Add MOH Service Fee Payments’,  ‘Add Service Fee Payment’ and select the category, then enter in the value and select ‘Add payment’ to save.

The total of all these payments will display as one line on the statistics report under ‘MOH Service Fee Payments’ for the period selected.

Interpretation:

Patients per Period

The number of patients in the period selected. A patient is included only once in the selected period.

Breakdowns of Core Visits and Inital Core Scripts

Initial core scripts = original scripts (i.e. /0 or /1 scripts) where the subsidy is paid under the ‘Core Services’ purchase unit

Core Visits = Number of core patients with >= 1 initial core script per day (a patient is counted only once per day)

Avg Initial Core Rx = Average number of initial core scripts per person per day
