[Revised Jan 2017]
If known to be stat at time of dispensing original
Enter the stat quantity. E.g. to dispense 30 x 3 stat, enter as "90".
For SmartClaim, tick
the 'stat' box on the 'Status panel' manually.
If known after original dispensed
Edit the original to the full quantity, tick the ‘Stat’ box on the ‘Status panel’ manually and reprint a label. (if script has already been claimed, you will need to tick either 'Cancel payment and Reprice’ or ‘Resubmit not yet paid’.
If known when repeat is requested
During dispensing of
the repeat, tick the ‘Stat’ box, then change the number of dispensing,
enter into the quantity field to recalculate the quantity.
E.g. script is
for 30 and 2 repeats, and you want to dispense the /2 and /3 stat, go
into repeats as if dispensing the /2 then tick ‘Stat’, then change
the number of dispensing's to ‘2’ and enter into the quantity field, the
computer will automatically change this to 2 x 30 = 60 , the label will
print with the suffix/3.
Note: This correctly records the repeat as /3 since the program has combined /2 and /3. There will not be a claim for the non existent /2.
If you need to go back and make changes to an existing dispensing
You can go back and change the number of repeats or quantity dispensed for a prescription by editing the /1. Change the number of repeats, or click ‘Variable Qty Rpt’ to edit the quantity to be dispensed on each repeat. You won’t be able to change repeats that have already been dispensed. If any changes are made, you’ll need to ‘Cancel payment and price again’ so the changes are accepted by HealthPAC.
Future
LOTS will check the dose and frequency, and if more than 30 days supply are dispensed will offer to make it 'Stat' or reduce to 30 days supply with repeats.
