Repeat, Variable quantity, Editing, Stat repeats

[Revised July 1998]

If variable quantity is marked at time of original, the computer will ask quantity and instructions for each of the repeats.

If Quantity - Drug - Brand - Pack - Sig etc is to be different on repeat(s)

Just change any piece of information after selecting the repeat item. Any part of any repeat can be changed at time of dispensing without affecting the original, or earlier repeats.

Each repeat is claimed as a separate item on SmartClaim.

Unexpected 'stat'

E.g. On first dispensing, if the script was dispensed as 30 + 2 repeats but the patient wants all 60 stat on the repeat.

1. Use Repeat button to bring up the patient's name and scripts as usual.

2. Select the item(s) to be repeated as usual, and when finished selecting, 'Finish'.

3. Each item will be displayed with the 'Finish' button highlighted. On the items that are to have a changed quantity, tick the ‘stat’ box on the status panel and change the number or dispensing e.g. 2, then enter through to the quantity field, the computer will automatically recalculate the quantity e.g. in this situation, it will say 60.

4. Click the 'Finish' button to print.

Change of brand

Bring up the item and change the brand or pack. The original will still claim with the brand dispensed.

Similarly for any other information.

To edit the number of repeats to zero (cancel the repeat entitlement).

Pull up the 'Status' panel on the RHS (<alt> + <1>), and untick the 'variable repeats' box. The number of repeats can then be edited to zero to remove the repeat altogether.
