It is possible to record serial number of specific items, eg Cameras, and Customer IDs.
Be aware that there are legal restrictions on what types of Customer ID may be recorded in a computer, and your reasons for keeping them.
To mark an item as 'Serial number/ID required'
In the Extra Options tab at the top right of the stock card there is an Option Serial Number. Tick this option. When the item is sold a window will appear asking for the serial number or customer ID to be entered.
In the case of a camera or other expensive item the serial number should be typed in.
The customers name may be entered for the sale and this also will be recorded.
