[Revised Apr 2015]
Staff members can have ID codes, passwords and security cards to control access and record activity.
To enter 'Staff' utility
From the 'RxOne' Menu , &Tools, Utilities, Staff Utilities, Modify Staff. You will be asked for your StaffID (and password if you have one).
Note: Only the staff manager(s) can access this module.
If you are denied access the Staff managers will be listed on the screen so you can see who has access.
To Enable/Disable security
If security is not required, disable it by selecting 'File' then unticking 'Staff security'.
To add a staff member
1. Select New button, and type in the name as you want it to appear on dockets etc.
Passwords
Passwords must either be all one letter, or all two or more letters.
- If all are just one, then the system knows to move off once a key it struck, without having to wait for enter.
- If all are 2 or more,. Then the system will wait for <enter> to be pressed after the password is typed.
You cannot mix 1 and 2 letter passwords as the system will move off after the first letter of a longer password is entered.
Security settings Click on the functions that this staff member is to be allowed to access. Experience has shown it is best to be generous with access... too much security can badly interfere with the primary object of the business, efficient serving of customers.
More Notes
Delete Sales Items:
Staff members can be prevented from scanning an item into a sale and then deleting it. This utility is accessed through Tools, Utilities, Staff Utilities, Modify Staff. Note this option is for when Security is switched on (File, Security On). Double click the staff member and tick or untick the "Delete Sales Items" checkbox as necessary. If a staff member who is not allowed to delete sales items attempts to do so, the staff ID box will appear. In order to delete the sale, a staff member with permission must enter their password.
Staff security rights: to change CompoundPro scripts and formulas (Please note this is regardless of whether the Staff Security is on or off)
Staff utility and tick ‘Allow changes to CompoundPro scripts / formulas’ for staff who should have access to edit the CompoundPro scripts and formulas.
From RxOne Start Menu go to Tools, Utilities, Staff Utilities
A staff member without the ‘Allow changes to CompoundPro scripts / formulas’ ticked can only scan batch barcodes, weigh ingredients and print the formulation sheet.
"Unknown" Staff Member
The “Unknown” staff member is created by FredLink when $0 scripts are processed in the background (that is, some sites choose this option so that they never have to sell no charge scripts in POS – FredUtil.exe handles this for them. Similarly, a staff member called “Autocharge” is created in FredLink when scripts are autocharged.
