Order, Modem

[Revised Jun 04]

To order by modem:

Select Transmit at the end of creating an order.

Failed transmissions:

Modem ordering involves the 'RxOne' program, Windows itself, the serial port in the computer, the modem, the phone system, the wholesaler's modem, and the wholesaler's computer. Because the process involves so many parties and so is difficult to diagnose, a separate section of this 'On screen Help' deals with solving failed transmissions.

Answerback / Out-of-Stocks on Invoices:

Some wholesalers can send back information on quantity available (and hence out-of-stocks), and price changes in an Invoice file.

Immediately on receiving the invoice which includes out-of-stocks:

- 'RxOne' will change the order to reflect the quantities coming, moving o/s items into a 'Reorder' file which can be viewed immediately if required.

- Change the prices.

When the order is marked by the user as 'Delivered':

- It will change the Stock-on-Hand on the stock cards.
