To wipe a disk clean
1. Put the disk in drive and click on the Windows start button.
2. Select Programs, then 'Windows explorer'. Some systems may have an 'Explorer' icon on the desktop for quick entry.
3. On the LHS under 'All folders'
- If wiping a floppy disk on A:, select '3 1/2 floppy' and highlight it by clicking once... you will see 'Contents of A:' appear on the RHS.
- If wiping a zip disk, select 'Iomega zip' and view contents.
Warning; Do not wipe the hard drive, Drive C:, by mistake!
4. Hold down <ctrl> and press <A> on the keyboard. This is a quick way to highlight all items.
5. Press the <del> key to delete everything. You will be asked, "Are you sure...?". Answer "yes to all".
