There is an option to select your 'Dispensary' or 'POS' preference for a particular stock card. In StockCard there is a 'Stock Type' field (on the Extra Options tab). This option determines whether the stock item comes up in 'Dispensary Only' or 'POS Only' Orders, Reports and Utilities where there is an option to choose between the two. The normal defaults are as follow:
- Dispensary items will have stock type as Dispensary
- Pure POS items will have stock type as POS
- An item that is both a dispensary and POS item (i.e. have a Drug Information tab) will automatically default to POS. This means these items will now appear in the POS reports where Stock Type is used. Also note that if you do separate dispensary and POS orders, an item that is both a 'Dispensary and POS' item will now appear on the POS order and not on the dispensary order.
If you want to change the stock type for an item then go to 'Stockcard', select 'Extra Options' and set 'Stock Type' to your preference.
This stock type is now used in the following reports:
- Dead Items report
- Stocklist and Values report
- Missing Stocktake report
- Bulk stock edit utility.
