RxOne knows the SS rules, and will automatically claim for appropriate scripts. However, it is sometimes desirable to be able to force a claim for an item which would not normally be claimed;
To force an item to be claimed.
Edit the item and bring up the 'claims' panel '5' (<alt> + <5> or click on the 'claims' panel tab).
- Tick the 'Claim regardless' box.
- Finish.
Situations where 'forcing' a claim might be necessary;
1. A NSS drug where a special approval applies. SmartClaim will claim the script even though its own internal rules tell it that the item is not a valid claim.
2. 'Old' scripts, that pre-date SmartClaim.
3. Changed availability advised after dispensing. E.g. 'Magic tablets' were NSS and dispensed as such, so marked not to claim. Later, you find that they were available as SS (though neither you nor RxOne knew at the time), so you refund the patient the charge and want to force claim now.
Scripts 'forced' will be claimed in the next available claim.
