Mouse operation

[Revised Sep 99]

'Click' or 'Left-click.' This or 'Left mouse' or 'left mouse click', it mean to move the mouse cursor over the required button or function and click on the left mouse button to activate that function. A plain 'click', with no mention of left/right also implies the left mouse. A left-click normally selects the item, or activates a function highlighted.

'Double click' Some functions require a double-click on the left mouse button, this is two clicks within a very short period. If this is difficult, usually it is possible to left-click just once then press <enter> key to have the same effect.

'Right click' The right mouse button is much less used, generally to edit an item or set up a function, rather than select it for which the left-mouse is used. Almost all functions in RxOne can be done with only the keyboard or left-mouse, the right-mouse is provided as a quick shortcut for use by Windows confident people.

'Drag' the mouse

Used to highlight text, or move things. To 'drag' the mouse, left click on the item and move the mouse while still holding down the left mouse button. Release the mouse when you are where you want to 'drop' the item, or when you've finished highlighting a block of text.
