Two types of mailing/address label are provided, a simple printing of labels straight from the program, or the specialised 'Mail Merge' function using MS 'Word'.
Address label for script
An address label, without script details & prices (& therefore suitable as a mailing label) can be produced for last patient.
For convenience, this can be done either while waiting for a script or while in the middle of the next patient's script.
Use the <ctrl> + <A> shortcut.
Or: use the menus;
1. From the main dispensing screen select Report (or Report, depending on position in the program) from the menu bar,
2. Then Patient reports
3. Then Address label.
Mailing list labels
A set of address labels for general mailings can be produced for:
- Customers
- Doctors
- Club members
- Debtors
- Conditions
- Drugs
You can also include options such as: ‘Show People Who Buy Special Product’ and ‘Select Products’.
From the RxOne Start Menu, go to Reports, Other reports, Mailing labels.
Top doctors
Mailing Labels -Select doctors then 'Doctors with scripts between', select dates to and from. Tick the Top 10 box, window appears and can type in 25 or 13 or whatever. Then OK to bring up a report of top 10 or 25 or 13 doctors with total number of Rxs dispensed in the time selected. Can print report, mailing labels with various options of bolding, italic etc.
Customer Labels
To show all customers, untick "Select Dates" and "Top x Customers"

You can select a birthday range to send birthday greetings.
'Approved to receive promotional material' -You can select to print mailing labels only for customers that have given you permission to send them promotional material. First mark a person as having agreed to receive promotional material in the Sales screen. After you have entered the customer's name select Edit, Add/Modify Person Details (Ctrl + D) then tick "Receive Promotional Material".
You can tick 'Inactive client' in POS or Dispensary - clients that are marked as inactive in POS or Dispensary can be excluded from the mailing list
Client Groups - you can select to print mailing labels for customers in different client groups so that you can target advertising materials to different groups and also the customers can choose what promotional material they want to receive. E.g. Monthly Newsletter, Beauty Club, Promotional emails.
Different client groups can be added under the Client Group utility. To add these either go to 1) Edit person detail screen during a sale or 2) in Dispensary, on daily log screen, select Window and then Client Group Utility.
Then once a group of customers has been listed you can show only customers with email addresses or customers without email addresses.
E-mail / non e-mail customers - once a group of customers has been listed you can select the option to show only customers with an email address or customers without email addresses.
Exporting Mailing Labels - After running the report click on export to save these details so you can do form letters or emails from these details. To see how to do this, go to ' Mail Merge' in Word Help or RxOne Help.
There are two new options in this utility: ‘Show People Who Buy Special Product’ and ‘Select
Products’.
Mail merge
Prepare the report then 'export for mail merge' which can be used with external mail merge programs to personalise letters etc. Instructions for doing this with MS 'Word' are provided under 'Reports, External'
