Fly Buys Gift Card

As there is no way of knowing the value left on the gift card, it is important to always process/ swipe the gift card through the Eftpos Terminal first before finishing the sale in RxOne.

For non-integrated Eftpos sites and interfaced Eftpos sites i.e. Cadmus, Eft-Link

To do a sale:

- Scan product(s) to be sold

- Arrow down to Eftpos or F11 for Eftpos Sale

- Swipe Gift card through eftpos terminal

- If ok, say yes to ''Eftpos card accepted?"

If the gift card is declined due to not enough value left on gift card:

a) Customer can pay the remaining amount with cash. Enter cash in “cash” box

- b) Customer can pay the remaining value by other Eftpos card. Swipe the other card through eftpos terminal and when accepted, say Yes to "Eftpos card accepted?"  

If they have a Fly Buys loyalty card, swipe the Fly Buys loyalty card when prompted at the very end.

For Provenco and Eftpos NZ Integrated Eftpos Sites

To do a sale:

- Scan product(s) to be sold

- Arrow down to Eftpos or F11 for Eftpos Sale

- Swipe Gift card through Eftpos terminal

If gift card is declined due to not enough value on gift card to cover purchase and  

a) if customer are paying the remaining value by cash, then just enter the amount to be paid by cash, or

b) if customer are paying the remaining value by other Eftpos cards then you must do two different Eftpos transactions: one for the gift card and one for the other Eftpos card. See split payment below.

Split Payment by gift card and other Eftpos card

For example: purchasing an item worth $22.99 with a $20 gift card and paying remaining $2.99 by Eftpos.

First do an Eftpos sale for the amount to be paid by the gift card:

- Scan the product to be sold ($22.99)

- 'F4' to sell an unlisted item (or use  a pre-allocated hot key)* with the amount to be paid by Eftpos as a credit eg. -$2.99

- finish off as an Eftpos sale.

Then do a second transaction for an unlisted item (or a hot key)* for the amount remaining e.g.$2.99

* To create a hot-key for split payment:

Go to a stock card, create a POS - only card and name it "Gift Card Redeemed – Split Eftpos payment".  Then assign the next Hot key to the card and untick 'Reorder'.
