CRC - Certified Repeat Copy

[Revised Nov 13]

CRCs The user may choose whether to have CRCs printed or not, and if so whether they want Class B controlled drugs suppressed.

If switched on, the CRC is automatically printed when 'Finished' is selected at the end a patient's repeats, but only if there is a payment to come from the pricing office.

To turn CRCs on/off

1. From the Dispensary Main Screen, select Options then 'Print options' and observe whether 'Print CRCs' is ticked or not. If ticked, CRCs will be produced.

2. To change it, highlight the 'CRC' line and press <enter>. It will return to the main Screen and CRCs will have toggled to on or off.

To turn 'Class B narcotic' CRCs on/off

As above, but change the 'Print CRC for Class B' line as required.

If ticked, CRCs will be produced for C'ass B.

CRCs not printing Most common causes;

1. No CRC required because no payment due from state. This is by far the most common cause of calls to the help-desk about 'missing' CRCs, so check the price.

2. Printer out-of-paper or off-line, or some other printer problem. Usually, but not always, Windows is able to warn of this. Check paper supplies and 'on line'.

3. CRCs may have been switched off, typically by an operator getting lost in the system and not realising what they have done. See above to check the switch position.

4. Windows printer driver problem. Close down the whole system (as at end of day), then turn off every device including the printer. Restart. Windows will usually advise, "Print jobs waiting, print now?" or similar... accept this and the missing CRCs will usually print. If not, ask for duplicates of the missing CRCs.

Nine pin printers, CRCs on.

For the Epson LX300 and other 9 pin printer see 'Agents help' notes.

Notes

- CRCs are printed at time of dispensing the repeats, when all items in the group of scripts have been dispensed. When testing this do not expect to see a CRC after pressing 'More' as it waits for 'Finished' to put all items on the same CRC.

Troubleshooting

If a CRC is not printing (but the True Copy prints for example) and it is checked in the Print Options to print then check the Syslog in the RxOne folder.

Eg: If in the syslog there are hundreds of errors saying "vsprint8.ocx not registered properly", contact HealthSoft to Run regcon.bat for 32 bit machine or regcon64.bat for 64 bit machine as administrator to fix.
