If you have a CD writer, backing up to CDs is fast and convenient.
Handling of CDs
Backup CDs need handling carefully… if they get scratched they are useless and you could lose your script claim and other data. When removed from the CD drive put them straight into their cover, and never face down on a surface.
To Install a CD writer (burner)
A new CD writer will ship with Nero or adaptec burning s/w, or similar. (Usually Nero)
Nero
With Nero, install the Nero package, and include INCD with the install. With INCD installed on the master computer, with a CD Burner, it will sense any re-writable CD that is put in the drive, that CD can then be used just as a floppy disk. So from the pharmacy package, just select the drive letter that is the CD Burner, and back up just as usual.
Adaptec
With Adaptec s/w the application is called Direct CD.
This will only work with RE-Writable disks... (CD-RW)
